Four Spikes

For years now, I've been making the characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer into playable sims, first in The Sims 2 and now in The Sims 3. Most of all I'm obsessed with Spike (well, I know I'm not alone...) but I'd really like to make fun (and satisfying) game-play of it all and play the whole story, starting with Spike getting turned and then years and years later coming to Sunnydale where he meets Buffy. I have been playing around with his character in a lot of different incarnations and so there is a Spike in almost every world I play. Some of them have been vampires, but most of them have been variations of human William. For several months now though, I have been preparing for a much grander effort, setting up various worlds to move between. Evansdale by My Sims Reality is standing in for Sunnydale. Cladbridge-on-Stowe, by doublemedion694, is the English village where William is going to start his journey towards Sunnydale and Buffy via a couple of (Maxis- and custom-made) other worlds, first together with the whole "Scourge of Europe" and then later with just Drusilla. Maxis world Monte Vista will be one stop: standing in for Italy.

I want to tell myself a story and so I'm hoping to document Spikes meandering travels in some way. I am a crappy and reluctant photographer, so I'm not sure if I will succeed in that, but it would be fun. The sims have a will of their own and I don't want to interfere with everything, so it will probably be far from a re-telling of the story from the TV-show but will instead be "some kind of Sunnydale". Hopefully though, it will be the fun experience I've been yearning for. And hopefully I _will_ manage to post it as a story.

Everything is set now and as a last preparation I've been fiddling with my Spike sim in CAS, testing different looks. The four Spikes above are, from left to right: newly turned vampire-William, Italy-Spike, New York-Spike (Bridgeport?) and finally Spike as he will look when he has split up with Drusilla and taken up residency in a Sunnydale crypt. The story will start with human William though, in Cladbridge-on-Stowe.
